37 Weeks

I had my 37 week appointment today. Baby Boy and I are still doing great! The doctor checked to make sure that he is still head down and he is! Baby Boy's head is still high, which worries me a bit. Isaac never fully dropped and it was because he was stuck. I hope that this is not the case with this one. Next week she plans on doing another ultrasound to check his growth and see how big he is. I am anxious to see how much he weighs. My pelvis is hurting a lot these days. It makes sleeping hard. My nesting instinct has kicked in big time this week. Steven keeps calling me crazy. But, everything is ready! All we need now is the baby!

36 Weeks

Today I had my 36 week appointment. Nothing new to report. Both of us are doing great! I've just been having more pelvic pain which makes moving and sleeping a little more difficult. Baby Boy's movements are much lower than they once were, so I think that is the cause of it. I've been pretty exhausted all week. Part of it is due to Isaac getting up earlier than normal. This evening I was hit with a wave of energy and went on a cleaning spree. I didn't nest this early with Isaac. The nursery is all set and ready to go! I can't believe there is only four more weeks (give or take) left! I'm getting pretty anxious to meet our new little man!

Isaac's 18 Month Check-Up

Weight: 26 pounds 8 ounces
Length: 32 inches
Head: 49 cm

So, since January he has just basically maintained his weight and is putting on inches. The doctor said his growth is great. What is still not great his is speaking. At 15 months she wanted him to say 5 words by now, which he is doing. She said that this is the bare minimum and that he should go through a word explosion soon. If he doesn't say 20 words in the next three months then we have to call them and go from there. We know that Isaac can hear and understand us. We can give simple commands (go upstairs, go to your room, etc.) and Isaac will do them. I think he is just being stubborn, but I don't know.
Isaac also had to get two vaccines. He cried for a bit, but quickly got over it. Before we left he got to pick a toy from the treasure chest. Isaac, of course, choose a little ball.

Baby Shower

My friends decided to throw me and another friend, who is due about 5 weeks after me, a double shower. It was totally unexpected and so nice of them to do this. I never would of expected a baby shower for my second child. We didn't really need much, so they just gave us the essentials like diapers, wipes, and creams. This really helps us out a lot. We had some good food, good cake, and played some fun games. I had a wonderful time and I have such wonderful friends!
